2022 WHS Award winners


Aryn Jacquart  has been awarded the 2022 Joan Junk Student Scholarship. Aryn has been in the field of histology since 2016. She is currently studying through Indiana Univeristy for an associates degree in histotechnology. Ary plans to use the award money toward her tuition. 


Pam Barker was awarded Article of the Year. Pam is a recruiting professional specializing in permanent placement of histotechs. Pam shares her expertise in her "Finding your dream job" series in the WHS In Focus newsletter. Keep your eye out for future installments. 2021 WHS Award winners


Stacy Geskermann won the Wayne Kampa Continuing Education Award. Stacy is planning to use the award money to take the NSH Digital Pathology Certificate course. She is passionate about learning new techniques and technologies and is excited to dive deeper into digital pathology.



2020 WHS Award winners


Carrie Raycher received the Wayne Kampa Continuing Education Award. Carrie was fortunate to have had Wayne Kampa as an instructor and continues to share his passion for teaching. She will use the award money to help her purse the completion of a BS degree in management and advance her career in histology.







Darrick Westphal was awarded Article of the Year for his article, So you want to bring PDL-1 in house?, in the January 2019 issue of In Focus. Darrick's article gives an overview of PDL-1 and discusses the challenges of bringing the test into the lab. WHS members can find the January 2019 issue with Darrick's article in the Members' Only portion of this website. 



2019 WHS Award winners


Stacy Geskermann was chosen WHS Member of the year 2019. Stacy is the Newsletter Editor and has taken on the role of Webmaster. Stacy also manages WHS social media and runs the WHS t-shirt fundraiser campaigns. 



                                                                                                                                                      

Nicole Konop Leon was awarded Article of the Year for her recurring column, Cap Corner, in the WHS newsletter. The quarterly column address common CAP questions and misconceptions. Look for future editions of Cap Corner quarterly. Past editions of the newsletter are available in the Members Only section of the website after logging in.
